Event Description

DSC Reva University presents to you DSC REVA - Hack it all over!!!

Hacktoberfest, brought to you by DigitalOcean in collaboration with Dev & Intel, is an open-source software month-long celebration. Maintainers are invited to guide contributors towards issues that will help move the project forward and in turn contributors will get the opportunity to give back what projects they like and others which they have just discovered.

The month of October is both that time of the year when kids celebrate Halloween and when developers make PR’s showing their support to open source, or put in a more casual tone when kids carry Jack O’ Lanterns and developers carry out Hack O’ Lanterns. Each year, the first ever contribution of millions of developers to promote “software for all” around the world on GitHub takes place this very month. It was ineffable to help hundreds of people label their identity on GitHub.

So, we at DSC Reva are wholeheartedly back to get you covered for your Hacktoberfest challenge and do our part in the contribution to make source code free for all. It's that time of year again when we come together to encourage and celebrate the open source softwares that we use and love.

The main objective of the event is to increase the awareness of relatively new developers, engineers and people of all walks of life by promoting Hacktoberfest, open source and how it can help them learn from others and at the same time provide their valuable insights in making the source code better!

Can't make it to this online meetup? Hacktoberfest is virtual and open to participants from around the globe. Sign up to participate today.
