Event Description

The time for the celebration of greatest open source festival of the year has arrived. So Charge your laptops and wear your working cap to dive deep into this celebration. Hacktoberfest is a month-long celebration of open source and is open to everyone in our global community!

It is a collaborative effort, where programmers improve upon the source code and share the changes within the community.
Join us in understanding and learning about the beauty of Open Source and beginner friendly workshops for Git introduction. Ask your doubts, get a hands-on contribution to open source and start Hacking! In bonus get to know more about live open source projects and share your own projects to the biggest open source community, for the world to see. Not only this connect to people from different places at the comfort of your home and continue hacking..!!!

Rules and Rewards

First, sign up on the Hacktoberfest site at https://hacktoberfest.digitalocean.com.

To get a shirt, you must make four pull requests (PRs) between October 1–31 in any time zone. Pull requests can be to any public repository on GitHub, not just the ones highlighted. The pull request must contain commits you made yourself. If a maintainer reports your pull request as spam or maintainers behavior is not in line with project code of conduct it will not be counted toward your participation in Hacktoberfest.

The top 5 best contributors in the group will be provided an appreciation certificates from the organizations committee.

Participant tweeting the most quality number of tweets using hashtags like #hacktoberfest2020, #digitalocean, #OpenSource, #acmbvp,#bvpieee gets a certificate of special mention from IEEE and ACM organizing committee.
