Welcome to MLH Localhost

Localhost is a great way to build your tech skills and hang out with the hacker community. If you'd like to attend the workshop all you need to do is register on this page and check the page again an hour before the event begins. You'll find the link to the Zoom as well as a bunch of resources for the workshop!

During this workshop, you'll learn how to build an Action for Google Assistant! The actions will retrieve Tweets from Twitter, analyze them using the Google Cloud Natural Language API, and inform the user how people on Twitter feel about a given topic.

We've partnered with the wonderful team at Google to bring your this workshop on building Actions for Google Assistant. Google Assistant is a powerful AI-powered virtual assistant that is ready to help whenever you need it.

Use Google Cloud Platform

Google Cloud Platform is a suite of developer tools that allows you to build software that is scaffolded by Google's core infrastructure and latest innovations. Your Action will be hosted on Google Cloud and you'll use the Cloud Natural Language API to analyze sentiments.

Requirements / Prerequisites

Participants will need to be able to create a Google account and use Google Cloud Platform. This workshop will be completed entirely in the browser.
