Event Description

Hacktoberfest — brought to you by DigitalOcean in partnership with Dev & Intel — is a month-long celebration of open source software. Maintainers are invited to guide would-be contributors towards issues that will help move the project forward, and contributors get the opportunity to give back to both projects they like and others they've just discovered. No contribution is too small — bug fixes and documentation updates are valid ways of participating.

Open Source Society Una brings to you Opening up Open Source on 10th October 2020 to help you get started in your journey to open source through Hacktoberfest.
We bring to you our main speaker Jan C. Borchardt

A few things about him-
- Co-founder & design lead, NextCloud (nextcloud.com)
- Co-founder, Open Source Design
- Co-founder, Terms of Service; Didn’t Read (tosdr.org)

More info can be found here: https://jancborchardt.net/

You also participate in a quick competition to contribute to open source softwares to earn certificates! You also get the opportunity to listen to Ayush Jain (MLH Fellow), Utkarsh Singh (SDE at Optum). Above that, network with like-minded students all around the globe!
