Openfest is a 3-day online event, it will first start with a FOS Talk (+ Event Introduction) as well as a Git/Github Workshop on October 11th, for the beginners who want to learn more about Open Source and how to contribute to Open Source projects. The 12th is when we get back to business with the big Fest!
Participants will work with each other to contribute to our Hacktobefest Github repository in the hopes of ending up among the first 50,000 people to complete the challenge and winning DigitalOcean's awesome prizes!
Who can attend?
Locations have different requirements for who can attend. This location is open to the following:
Understand Hacktoberfest and how to participate and cease the opportunity to familiarize yourself with Open Source. A Q&A will be held at the end of the session where all inquiries will be answered by the speaker.
Join the hands-on workshop to learn the basics of Git/Github, a powerful tool in the community, to share and collaborate on online projects.
Monday 12th-13th, Open Fest:
A fest where participants work together in an atmosphere of collaboration, guided by our maintainers who will help them achieve the challenges and be eligible rank among the first 50,000 and win DigitalOcean's and Openmindsclub's special prizes.
