Event Description

[email protected] is a nonprofit community event. This time it is going to be a 3 hrs long virtual event. It will start with a welcome note and introduction to Hacktoberfest.
The aim of this event is to make participants familiar with the open-source projects and how to contribute to them.

Event code of conduct:
Hacktoberfest meetups are welcoming, open, and inclusive. Please read our Events Code of Conduct before attending. Happy hacking!

Who can attend?

Locations have different requirements for who can attend. This location is open to the following:


11:00 am (WELCOME)
Start of session with welcome note
Brief intoduction of me and other team members.
Overview of the event along with the schedule and code of conduct.

11:45 am(ICE BREAKER)
Breaking the ice by knowing the attendees and thanking them.
Allowing them to interact with others.(approx 10-15 mins)
Icebreaker would be telling everyone your embarrasing story in 1 min.

encourage students to share their contributions made by them in open source.( if any)

1:00 pm(WORKSHOP)
Brief them about:
How to get started with contributions in open source?
Where to find the resources?
Advantages of open source contributions.
Demo on open source projects.

1:45 pm(Ending the session)
facilitate the formation of group by interest.
sharing demo on what they have learned during the event.
