Event Description

Learn Day is a week-long conference hosted online that you can share with your community. You can pick up the new skills you need by participating in workshops and talks with a community around the world. Over the course of 12 hours, attendees will experience a series of workshops where they’ll learn skills such as publishing their first website using AWS, scrape tweets from your favorite celebrity using Python with Capital One, and more. This is an event for all skill levels, from beginners to the most veteran developers. Workshop attendees will learn skills that they can apply in their projects, schoolwork, job, and beyond.

Jon Gottfried and Emily Akers

Jon Gottfried is a co-founder of Major League Hacking, the global community for student developers. Jon previously worked as a Developer Evangelist at Twilio and Echo Nest, served as National Director for StartupBus, and co-created the Hacker Union. Jon loves building new technology and teaching people to do the same. He serves on the SUNY Stony Brook University Industry Advisory Board for Computer Science and was recently named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Education category and the Stony Brook 40 Under 40 for Entrepreneurship.
