Event Description

Welcome to MLH Localhost

Localhost is a great way to build your tech skills and hang out with the hacker community. If you'd like to attend the workshop all you need to do is register on this page and check the page again an hour before the event begins. You'll find the link to the Zoom as well as a bunch of resources for the workshop!

Participants in this workshop will learn about IBM z/OS Connect, the enterprise platform for developers to improve the connection and communication between teams that create service applications for the server ecosystems and the RESTful API developers. With API Connect participants will learn how to set up existing software applications and services and make them accessible as RESTful APIs.

Powered by IBM Z

IBM Z is the powerful enterprise computing platform that 71% of Fortune 500 companies depend on for their success. In addition to z/OS, IBM Z runs Linux, runs Docker containers, and plays well with other open solutions.

Build with z/OS EE Connect

This workshop focuses on z/OS EE Connect which will give participants the power to call external APIs from a mainframe application, and expose the mainframe assets as easily-consumable RESTful APIs.
