What is this fellowship you’ve heard so much about in the last year? Join us for an hour long talk back and discussion with the MLH Fellowship team about the MLH Fellowship. They will be discussing the tracks, what the program entails, and answer all of your questions!

Speakers

Amanda D'Avria

Amanda is a NYC native with an MBA from NYU Stern and has spent her entire career in the education sector. She has worked at Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and startups, most recently as Director of Admissions for coding bootcamp Flatiron School. She joined MLH in 2021 to run the admissions department for the fast-growing Fellowship Program!

Will Russell

Will is based out of the UK, near Cambridge. He recently graduated from the University of Birmingham studying Computer Science. During his degree, he’s been attending hackathons all over the UK, helping them improve their experiences in production and organization. Will’s been involved with the fellowship since the very beginning, interviewing candidates. Now Will oversees the program side of the fellowship, making sure that everyone has the best experience possible.

Kunal Kushwaha

Kunal is a developer from New Delhi, India. He is working towards empowering communities via Open Source and Education. He is currently doing community management at MLH, CNCF Ambassador, Kubernetes 1.22 Release Shadow, GitHub Campus Expert, Gold Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador, Google Summer of Code Mentor at Red Hat Middleware. He also finds passion in teaching and is the founder at Code for Cause, an organization focused on Open Source and Education. He also started the Cloud Native Student Community group focussed on getting more young people involved in the Cloud Native world. The platforms are utilized by conducting hands-on technical workshops, events, podcasts, and sharing about opportunities in the field watched by thousands of people.
